A great deal of luck is required for this level. I start by shooting the shadow bubbles first as they will just reduce the bubbles in the cauldron if you let them spread.
If they do spread, remember that if you shoot the shadow bubbles with your rainbow bubbles you will not lose any additional bubbles. 

Do not try to shoot all the mystery bubbles or you will definitely run out of bubbles, but you will have to shoot some to get to the ceiling and to increase your score.
I generally go up the middle and then move to one side to clear it to get to the ceiling. 

I shoot mystery bubbles to drop bubbles to increase the score and add bubbles to the cauldron if I'm lucky. I try to shoot them only when I can easily drop them or plug them if they turn out to be a bomb.You shoot mystery bubbles when you have blue spiders to turn green; then you try to drop bubbles on those green spiders which will turn them blue again; and then you do it all over again all the way to the top. 

This is one level where yellow spiders are not particularly desirable though you will have some. But what you want is GREEN spiders and you can only make them from BLUE spiders.

Take your time as you move upward and watch your spiders below and make sure you shoot mystery bubbles when you have blue spiders.

With all this, it is still difficult to get a high enough score to get one star.
